What is your returns policy?

As per Indiegogo’s terms of use, backers can request a refund within 10 days of supporting the campaign. After that point, beeing will evaluate refund requests on a case by case basis. We are not offering refunds after the b-box has shipped. Should a backer receive damaged or unusual parts, they can request replacement parts by contacting us directly.

What is BackerKit? Why am I being asked to complete a survey?

BackerKit is the platform we are using to organize the shipping of b-box. In the survey, you can confirm your shipping address, purchase additional items and pay for shipping.

My survey doesn’t reflect my order.

If you redeemed a perk on Indiegogo within the last two weeks, it won’t yet show in the survey. If it’s been more than two weeks, or another purchase isn’t showing, just get in touch using the Contact Us button at the end of this FAQ.

How much does shipping cost?

As you complete the BackerKit Survey, your shipping cost will be calculated based on the items you have ordered. Every country has its own cost for shipping one b-box. The shipping cost depends on the dimension and volume of the three packages that will be shipped to all Backers. They have a total weight of 34kg, which become 38kg for the USA because of the different type of wood used to comply with EPA’s TSCA Title VI regulation. The dimensions of the boxes are reported as follows (in centimetres): Box 1: 43x35x16; Box 2: 14x21x119: Box 3: 18x73x53 The cost of delivery also depends on the number of shipments for each country. How are taxes handled?

We are shipping from Italy so there are no import duties or taxes for delivery within the EU. Taxes and duties outside of the EU will vary from country to country. Please note that the backer is responsible for all local taxes including but not limited to sales tax, VAT, GST, and import duties, as apply to them in their respective countries.

Can I have my pledge be marked with low cost to avoid import fees?

In order to comply with regulations we’re legally required to declare the correct value of goods shipped into all countries. This process is handled by our shipping partners, as they know the legal way to send goods to every country.

Can I personally pick up the b-box?

Yes. All those Backers who decide to personally pick up the packages of their b-box have to fill in the form sent by BackerKit, select the option “Local Pick-Up” and add their mobile phone number. When the b-box is ready, they will be contacted to organize the pick-up.

Is the project optimized to reduce shipping costs?

Since packages overcoming 120 cm of length are subjected to an additional fee, we re-designed the chimney to make it shorter and thus lower shipping costs. All the components of the b-box will be shipped in three different packages, in order to reduce the volumetric weight and avoid any other fee for exceeding standard dimensions.

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
